Pizza
Posted at 07:52 AM

Narinig nyo na ba yung latest medley ng Greenwich? Ito ang aking LSS these past few days.
Kagreenwich na naman kita.
Dito rin tayo nagkita di ba?
Kapizza,
Kajoin ng barkada,
Kaclose ang feeling sa isa't isa.
Kagreenwich na naman kita.
Kahati kashare sa iisang pizza.
Sarap kajoin bagong kakilala.
Sarap kagreenwich up to sawa.

Talentado ka talagang bata ka, Ginoong Blanco. Hehehe!

The Secret Behind Pooh
Posted at 01:27 PM

L A T E S T O B S E S S I O N S:
  • The Tao of Pooh - BENJAMIN HOFF
  • my practice site
  • Nescafe Frothe French Vanilla
My latest read offers much to contemplate about. Let me quote some of Hoff's lines: One of the basic principles of Taoism is P'U, the Uncarved Block. The essence of the Uncarved Block is that things in their original simplicity contain their own natural power, power that is easily spoiled and lost when that simplicity is changed. This principle applies not only to things, but to people as well. Or Bears. Which brings us to Pooh, the very Epitome of the Uncarved Block. When you discard arrogance, complexity, and a few, other things that get in the way, sooner or later you will discover that simple, childlike, and mysterious secret known to those of the Uncarved Block: Life is Fun. Along with that comes the ability to do things spontaneously and have them work, odd as that may appear to others at times. As Piglet put it in 'Winnie-the-Pooh', "Pooh hasn't much Brain, but he never comes to any harm. He does silly things and they turn out right." Owl instead, is the opposite of Pooh, the Knowledge for the sake of Appearing Wise, the one who studies Knowledge for the sake of Knowledge, and who keeps what he learns to himself or to his own small group, rather than working for the enlightenment of others. That way, the scholars can appear Superior, and will not likely be suspected of Not Knowing Something. After all, from the scholarly point of view, it's practically a crime not to know everything. But sometimes the knowledge of the scholar is a bit hard to understand because it doesn't seem to match up with our own experience of things. Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't? While Owl's little routine is that of Knowledge for the sake of Appearing Wise, Eeyore's is that of Knowledge for the sake of Complaining About Something and Rabbit's is that of Knowledge of Being Clever. As anyone who doesn't have it can see, the Eeyore Attitude gets in the way of things like wisdom and happiness, and pretty much prevents any sort of real Accomplishment in life. Cleverness, after all, has its limitations. Its mechanical judgments and clever remarks tend to prove inaccurate with passing time, because it doesn't look very deeply into things to begin with. The thing that makes someone truly different -unique, in fact- is something that Cleverness cannot really understand.
Okay ba? So what did the author really want to say? Personally, my views on Pooh and the rest of the characters are somewhat distorted by what the animated production lodged during my childhood. For instance, I think Pooh is as stupid as the author says he is (an empty shell), Tigger has ADD (Attention Deficiency Syndrome), Rabbit drinks too much coffee, Eeyore is on drugs all the time, and Piglet is gay (what's with trying to cuddle with Pooh all the time, running amuck without any shorts on, and the color pink)! I have no puns about gays and gay relationships. It's just that the cartoon would be cooler if everything was brought into better perspective. I guess makulit lang talaga yung creator. Sorry na lang, mas makulit ang viewers. What do you think? ================================================
I won't be blogging for a while. I'm still trying to practice encryption plus I might go to that seminar on linux just to get the certificate. Ei little
ghost
, how have you been tiding?

Honey nga ba ito?

Tsk!Tsk!Tsk! Out in the open pa ang drama ng dalawa!
At hindi lang pala si Pooh at Piglet ang may secret affair...

Buses and Blogs
Posted at 06:03 AM

Sigh! I had an accident this morning. A car which collided with a van crashed on the lateral side of the bus I was on. Regretfully, I was on that ill-fated side. Sigh! My shoulder still hurts but like the industrious bees we all are, we have to report to our own queen bees -- the work office. Speaking of queen bees, have you watched Mean Girls? Makulit siya. It's not the typical Cinderalla story you've all heard of (no pun intended with regards to The Prince And Me movie)so just try to watch it if you have time. ================================================ On How To Vote For A Blog In Philippine Blog Awards: A lot of you guys have been emailing me asking how to vote for a blog. Black And White
Posted at 10:44 AM

According to the latest headline, the Philippines would be pulling out its troops from Iraq as swiftly as preparations are made available. Boy! Would I hate to be in GMA's shoes right now. As if pulling out 51 delegates from the century's current hell would make any difference. No, I'm not an unfeeling bitch. I'm just being more realistic. Does anyone really think that those tyrrants would spare one life just to make a point? I think not. They've long shown that they are ready for war, and they are waiting. I do feel for Dela Cruz but what's to do? A little lady might be sweeping the floor back and forth with her heels in Malacanang this very moment, for all we know. I wouldn't know what to decide on either if I was Madam President. I was having lunch with adonis earlier and we both agreed that like a philosopher king, a country's ruler should always seek the better good. And for this instance, she should stand firm with regards to her first decision (which apparently, was too unripe to harvest) -- not to negotiate with hellspawns as such. The outcome is bleak on both sides. There is nothing to be won here for all the vultures have already feasted on the carcass. ================================================ On a lighter side, adonis and I were fooling around yesterday. Saan daw ba mas masakit magka-hickie? Sa leeg o sa beywang? As if the topic was not enough for eager eavesdroppers in the office, sabi ni adonis mas okay daw magka-hickie sa likod, gawing baba kung saan naroon ang dalawang burol na pinalo ng doktor noong tayo ay ipinanganak. hahaha! Bwehehe! ================================================ I know that you've missed me. 'Been very busy creating a layout for deng and joanne. Do visit their site and tell me what you think.

Missed Me?

WSV Training: Day 2 (website support team na din po ako, asenso na!) Argh! This day is so boring, apart from the once-in-a-while-chikahan sessions, everything else seems to render me sleepy. I've been processing storefront emails these past few days so it's only now that this frail fingers are making clickety click again (yup, your mama's trained for email too ). Watched King Arthur last Saturday and this has made me love men more and their rugged looks. Hehehe!

                                      Sigh! Clive Owen...

Whoever said curly locks can't cut it? Delicious ang isang ito!

                             Nakaka-lesbo si Keira Knightley!

Ok lang. Pareho naman kaming payat. Hehehe!

This is my recent LSS. I've been singing the song with wrong lyrics and only had yesterday to discover the correct words. So, I was able to dl it in Imesh. Yipee!

8th World Wonder
by Kimberly Locke
Woke up early this morning, made my coffee like I always do.
Then it hit me from nowhere, everything I feel about me and you.
The way you kiss me crazy,
baby you're so amazing.
Seven days and seven nights of thunder,
The waters rising and I'm slipping under.
I fell in love with the 8th world wonder.
I guess that I'm just falling deeper into something I've never known. But the way that I'm feeling,
makes me realize that it can't be wrong. You're love's like a summer rain, washing my doubts away.
Seven days and seven nights of thunder,
The waters rising and I'm slipping under.
I think I fell in love with the 8th world wonder.
It's only been a week, but it's coming over me.
It's making me believe that you're the one for me.
Seven days and seven nights of thunder,
The waters rising and I'm slipping under.
I think I fell in love with the 8th world wonder.

Pretty cheesy lyrics for a catchy tune. Oh, well.

I Hate You
Posted at 01:49 PM

Dearest Gwen,
Your departure has caused this heart such a yearning that my bereavement has turned into such a miserable state. No one ever hinted me of this decision you made. This is your choosing, and I hate you. I hate you for making me curve a smile and making my stay in this mundane workplace such a grand event each and every time I go to work. I hate you for enjoying the same genre of music and movies I know not why I enjoy so much. I hate you for making me weep with gaiety each time I brood through some of your musings in tigbak. I hate you for keeping me sane at times that a UP alumnus thinks that there is a certain idea she cannot fathom. I hate you for always quoting Melanie Marquez and her baffling ramblings. I hate you for always finding time to visit my little corner-of-a-station. I hate you for being the only person who could dissert a political or philosophical issue with me and not end up debating on who's the more opinionated . I hate you for making me find a piece of me in you. I hate you because it's only less than a week that you left and I already miss you. I hate you because in my heart, I know, I'll never be the same. Still, I am in deep gratitude. You have made me stronger, saner, and braver in taking the hint that I should smile at all times. I will miss you, my little doppelganger. Good luck.
This is not adieu.

I'm Ready For My Close-Up
Posted at 12:21 PM

Filipino hostage Angelo dela Cruz is free at last! GMA was wearing a happy face after breaking the good new yesterday before the nation that Mr. dela Cruz has finally been liberated by his Iraqi captors, justifying the Philippine's decision to withraw its military presence from the war-torn country. Nagkamali ako kay Gloria. Magaling din pala ang kanyang woman's intuition. Tuwang-tuwa siguro ang mga bumoto sa iyo. Sabagay, it would be politically demoralizing kung pinabayaan lang niyang pugutan yung Pilipino doon. Whatcha think?

Unitel pictures is distributing "Imelda," directed and produced by US-based filmaker Ramona S. Diaz. It was hailed at the Sundance Film Festival and is currently attracting good crowds in american Theaters. Ikaw ba naman ang kilalaning Lady with the hundred shoes, or wife of the Exiled President-Tyrrant, the late Ferdinand Marcos. It started showing yesterday, here in the Philippines and is already a fascination-magnet with issues both laid resolved and unresolved. Basically, it's more like a documentary because it's a compilation of interviews of Ms. Marcos in different situations. I'm not inclined to watch it because I am more of a Ferdinand Marcos fan than an Imelda fanatic. Siguro, ang manonood lang nito ay yung mga aktibista, sosyal, pasosyal, politically inclined, work-relatedly inclined, at wanna-be next Imelda Marcos apart from Marcos loyalists, of course. Hahaha! Seriously, wala lang akong perang pangpanood ng mga pelikulang hindi interesante sa akin. Siguro, kung libre, sige fight! Kung hindi naman, ok lang din naman sa akin.

Yesterday, I had to address an incident to my direct supervisor. It doesn't make any sense letting these newly promoted employees get away with their power tripping. The good thing about working in an Americanized work office is that they deal with such cases in a proper and unbiased manner. My sup had to talk to me regarding this issue early this morning and told me that he'll be taking direct action. Sadly, the fiend who've already been informed by my sup about the incident, seemed to have forgotten her manners at home. That's why they invented apologies, ass! As of the moment, I'm feeling a lot better as opposed to how I felt yesterday when I was a little irate about the whole incident. I'm not one to take such things unturned and so, I'll just leave this issue in the proper hands as of the moment. ================================================ On a lighter note, I'm pleased to say that I'm a certified regular employee. Yipee! Here's to reaping all the benefits of hardwork! Happy 6th Monthsary, Batch 36! Read all about it and comment on tigbak! ================================================ When I was still in High School, I laughed at the idea that anyone would listen to Hanson. I preferred to think only High School nerds and jologs (although at the time, there was no such term yet) fanatics listened to their kind of music. But lately, after listening to their last album and especially their latest, I resolved to think that this band (trio, more aptly) has more to them than what their charming youth proves to tell. A lot of friends like their song, Penny and Me. But Mr. Finicky and I prefer this one. Hope you also enjoy my recent
LSS. Underneath by Hanson

Beauty queen of only eighteen
She had some trouble with herself
He was always there to help her
She always belonged to someone else

I drove for miles and miles
And wound up at your door
I've had you so many times but somehow
I want more

I don't mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved
She will be loved

Tap on my window knock on my door
I want to make you feel beautiful
I know I tend to get so insecure
It doesn't matter anymore

It's not always rainbows and butterflies
It's compromise that moves us along
My heart is full and my door's always open
You can come anytime you want

I don't mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved

I know where you hide
Alone in your car
Know all of the things that make you who you are
I know that goodbye means nothing at all
Comes back and begs me to catch her every time she falls

Tap on my window knock on my door
I want to make you feel beautiful

I don't mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved

I don't mind spending everyday Out on your corner in the pouring rain

Try so hard to say goodbye
